Elli's Rocket Ship
Elli is really starting to let her imagination guide her play and it is really fun to watch. Recently, Grandma Waller gave Jackson a set of colorful tools. Well, he does like them, but Elli LOVES them! (Hello future sharing issues..) Anyways, she gets behind Jackson's chair when I'm in his room and declares she is in her rocket ship She uses the tools to fix the ship and paint it pink with polka dots. She counts down to blast off (she does count backwards from 5). Who knows what she will think of next. Kid play is so innocent and so cute. I love seeing her in this stage of development.

Here is what we use to paint it pink b/c all proper rocket ships are pink.

Halloween - The Final Party
Happy 6 Months Jackson
Well we have made it to 6 months! I can hardly believe it. I'm going to be honest - Month 5 was not so great. Jackson cut two teeth and had serious constipation issues; both of these things interrupting our sleep schedule. We are still working it out, but I'm hoping that Month 6 is a better month. He is still his sweet little self...I can't get enough of him! He loves to snuggle and is content if you are holding him. He loves to be in his exersaucer and johnny jump up. His most favorite thing? To get down in Elli's crib and be beside her after nap! He is sitting up on his own pretty well now so soon we will be able to do baths together which will cut down on a lot of work here at bedtime.
Elli wanted in on the picture action! Look how much he loves her!
I absolutely love them together!!!

Trick or Treating
I'm putting myself out there...I'm going on a rant. I think it is a shame that people don't trick or treat anymore. I think it is very nice of the churches to offer activities for the community, but I think it should be offered on another day. I love the idea of being in your own neighborhood getting to know your own neighbors and being a part of a community. Ok - I'm done ranting.
Now let me be hypocritical! Jackson had an ear infection so we did trick or treat a few houses around our block where we knew our neighbors would want to see the kids. Then, since Jackson couldn't stay out, I had to go by myself with Elli so we did leave our neighborhood and join up with Caroline and Charlotte. That was a lot of fun. However, Jacob and I have decided that next year we will only do our neighborhood so that we can really bring back the true community feel.
Elli had SO MUCH FUN! She really did great, I was proud of her. She said "trick or treat" and "thank - you" like we practiced. Then she started adding in her own flair and put out "Happy Halloween!" We have waaaaay too much candy in our house and I'm not doing so well on my dairy free days with all of this chocolate sitting around (poor Jackson!)
