I don't make things from scratch - EVER. But my friend Leslie has a great blog and I have been using it profusely in trying to learn new recipes. She recently featured a recipe for made from scratch muffins and I was intrigued. I was especially intrigued because she gave different mix-in options and I figured if I put chocolate in a muffin I was being healthy?!? Since it was sooo cold today and Elli and I had some free time this afternoon, we went about making them. They actually turned out pretty good. The best part? I was able to freeze some for another breakfast or snack time. I made them with Elli's raisins and cinnamon because I didn't have chocolate chips but you can rest assured next time they will be chocolate chocolate chocolate. Have I mentioned that when I am pregnant all I think about is chocolate?!?

Just in Time for Valentine's Day
Elli learned this cute little song at our last library visit. I used to sing this song all the time when I was little because I watched that Elephant show on TV. Click on that link to see a Youtube version of the song from my childhood in case you can't figure out exactly what Elli is saying! Jacob says he didn't watch that show. Was I the only one watching this?!?

Thank You Grandma Waller
Thanks Grandma Waller for the sweet Valentine's package. I love my new paints (as you can see) and mommy says to tell you that she loved the chocolate too!
Love you,
Elli
Love you,
Elli
Check Out My Hair!
Just in case you were wondering, Elli does have some hair and it is coming in quickly. Here is a picture of her static morning hair so you can see exactly what I mean!
Story Time
One of our new traditions is Time Out for Tots at the public library. The story time is every Friday at 10:30 and it is a great start to our weekend. They do a great job with puppets, songs, dancing, and stories. Elli loves it. We also get new books each time we go. This has created a pretty good schedule for us during the week. We have Mother's Morning Out on Tuesdays, Dance Class on Wednesdays, and Library on Fridays. That leaves us with Monday and Thursday mornings for errands. It has worked out well. Honestly, I do wonder what will happen when Smaller Waller arrives. We will hold on to the routine for now, but shortly things are bound to change!

So Excited About ABCs
I am so excited about a little project I am working on. I saw the idea here on pinterest. It is to create an ABC book. I am trying to get it done for Elli's second birthday. She loves to look at pictures of herself and people she knows so it will be full of family and friends. The added bonus is it will help with letters. I'll let you know how the finished product turns out!

Lost and Found
So sorry for the lack of posts lately, but I lost my camera cord. I found it today so here is an extra long post with tons of pictures!!
Elli has had another round of ear infections and a bad chest cough so we have been home bound this week. To keep busy we love to color and try out our play dough.
We also love to read our new library books in our pajamas, but we particularly love to read them on Mommy's bed.
Finally pictures of Elli's new "big girl" room. This is the view from the door . On the next few pictures you can play "Where's Elli" cause she appears in the most random of places!
Mrs. Jane did an amazing job with the art work once again. These fairies are hanging out by Elli's closet.
This is the official Elli fairy!
Elli calls these her "night night" fairies. She loves the artwork Mrs. Jane did!
The best part? The castle!!
Mrs. Jane knows how much Elli loves her cousins Caroline and Charlotte so she made some fairies that resemble them!
Charlotte Fairy
Caroline Fairy
We call this "friend" fairy.
View from the door. The dresser was mine as a little girl and Jacob painted it for us. The blue table was also mine growing up!
View from the back of the room...notice anyone in the hallway?
And our updated bedroom...from the door
From the other side of the room...
My dresser
J's dresser (which is very hard to keep clean on top...hence the boxes to hide all of his stuff!)
My vanity table that Jacob painted for me...so sweet!
