Jacob and I had the PRIVILEGE of going away for a night this weekend. This is the first time we have both been away from Jackson at one time so I was a bit nervous, but wasn't going to turn down some time with Jacob. We went to Raleigh and ate at great restaurants, slept late, and even tried out a bike trail. While we were away, Elli was on what she likes to call "Grandma Time." Apparently that means her schedule is a bit more flexible. I don't think I really care what she gets to do as long as I get a break =)
This is the picture I was sent at 1:37 pm on Saturday. If you know me, you know Elli is usually asleep at this time. Oh well a late nap is worth a weekend getaway. Elli looks like she knows she is breaking the rules! I love it!

He's Trying
Jackson has started trying to take a few steps. It will be a while I'm sure before he is really off and going, but progress is being made.
Jumpin' Jax
As part of another spring break activity, we went to Jumping Jax with some friends. It has been rainy and cold this week so it was a perfect energy outlet. I got a babysitter for Jackson so I could really focus on playing with Elli and I think that was the best idea for everyone. The two ladies I went with were both App friends. We were all in school together, going to football games, riding around in my convertible and just having fun. This week, we were riding in my minivan. I have two kids, Molly has 2 and one on the way, and Brandy has one on the way too. Look what time will do to ya! Anyways, it was a blast to catch up and the kids had fun too.
Sorry for the blurry pictures but it is very hard to get a picture of a kid while she is jumping on an inflatable.

Elli's Photography Career
Grandma and Grandpa Waller got Elli a great little camera for Christmas. We have been using it but I haven't taken time to put the pictures she takes up on the blog. I decided to finally upload some after this afternoon's activity. We went on a "letter" hunt to find objects outside that started with particular letters. These pictures are hers - I thought they turned out well. I promised her I would upload them. They are the first pictures we have taken outside and they are much better than our indoor ones.
Just a side note - I found some pretty hilarious pictures on her camera. Several of me with my eyes closed while nursing Jackson, some of me doing some exercising, and some of her friends. There are a few from Christmas too I will post...you can see the difference in an outdoor and indoor shot.

Spring Break!!!
Well, when I was a teacher, those two words were music to my ears. Now that I have a child in school, spring break is not a welcome change. But we are making the most of it around here. Day One was rainy so we had a play date in the morning. Then, by afternoon the sun was out and it was warm so we took a trip to the park. Successful start to our break.
On a side note - this morning Jackson and Elli played together for 45 minutes. I didn't have to entertain anyone. Can you believe it? I knew this day would come but I am so glad it is hear.
