The Big Visit!

We had our first big sleep over and it was blast. This was actually a first for everyone - first time Jackson stayed with Grandma Bender all by himself AND Elli's first weekend long slumber party.  Cousin Charlotte came and the girls LIVED.IT.UP. They were so cute together. And don't worry - Jackson was king of the roost at the farm (think Gator riding, horse and goat feeding, and chuck e cheese too!)  We loved every minute of having Charlotte. Thanks Berry and Melissa for letting her visit and thanks Grandma Bender for hosting the little man for a bit!

He didn't seem too worried about leaving mom ;)

How I put them down at night...

How they ended up...

Going to see Cinderella with our American Girl Dolls!

Treats the American Girl Store!!!

Uh oh - quick car nap

Checking out DC

Quick pic for Papa Johnny at WWII Memorial. These girls walked some miles!

They turned the basement into their house!

The Animal Park

Well this place was a lot of fun.The kids played for 3.5 hours. Wow! Worth.every.penny.

We will be back!

Jackson liked the Bearded Dragon. I did not.

This is Carrot the Ferret. And now I want one.

My favorite - the Chinchilla!

My Little Escape Artist

Do you see the iPad? Look who crawled out of bed at 2 am to watch some netflix.

This one.

He keeps me on my toes.

More Snow

Thanks to Grandma Waller we were able to sled.  These little boogers will go fast even on a smidgen of snow (which is all that was left by the time we made it out there!)  So much fun!!!

First Hair Cut for Jackson

Although Jackson did great getting his hair cut - I wasn't a huge fan of how it turned out. Oh well....it will grow back. And honestly - who is gonna see it? The kid is in a hat 24/7!

My big boy - so sweet!

First Snow of 2015

Well, we survived our first arctic blast and the first snow of 2015- even 2 days after having the flu.

We need a sled.

The American History Museum

We took a quick trip into DC to check out the American History museum. This is my favorite museum actually - I love the hall of First Lady dresses.  We didn't make it there though.  Jackson and Elli got stuck in the transportation section with life size trains and subway cars and big rigs. Papa Bender - we are TOTALLY taking you there next time you visit - you would love it.

The day started off rough with us driving for 30 minutes looking for a parking space and lots of tears and mama fussing and walking in rain.  But the museum was great.  Trip home - also not so great b/c I suddenly came down with a fever that led to the flu.

Memories.

Not so happy

Getting better!
