Doughnuts with Daddy at Preschool
Daddy had his turn at preschool this morning with Elli for "doughnuts with daddy." It was super cute. Jacob said they sang songs, ate together, and of course the wonderful teachers had a craft for all the dads. Here they are on their way. Of course, one of the cutest parts was that Elli got to ride to preschool with Daddy on his skateboard. So funny!

Ain't Gonna Lie
It ain't easy. This last month has been tough. Why am I writing about it? Because I do not want my blog to make it appear that we have it all together and that life is so easy in our house. Jackson is SUPER DUPER FUSSY. I mean SUPER DUPER CAN'T PUT HIM DOWN - EVER. Got it? Elli is dealing with my frustration over Jackson which isn't fair, but I'm human and only have so much patience. Seriously, he is so needy and then he is also really testing me. When I say "no" he stops and thinks about it, then continues on to do whatever he wants to do. It is exhausting. Yep, exhausting. I love him and I love Elli but this is going to be one.long.summer if things don't get better. They have to get better right?!?! Anyways, I just feel that honesty is the best policy so honestly, as my old teacher friend use to say, "it ain't easy Mrs. Waller..it ain't easy."

Elmo Visits Chick Fil A
We had to stop by and see Elmo - we have a budding Elmo fan in our house. Jackson now sleeps with an Elmo towel. Not sure why, but he loves it.

Buy One Get One Tubes?
Well I figured this was going to happen. After 20 days of antibiotics, Elli is still infected in her ears and she is miserable. So, off we go to the ENT and we have a surgery scheduled for this Friday. Elli will have tubes placed and have her adenoids removed. I'll admit, I'm not looking forward to it. I have promised her lots of things: a new doll for the bath tub, ice cream with sprinkles, and movie night with mom. Still, its going to be hard for her and I hate it. But I know in my heart she will feel better. The girl has had at least 6 infections since Christmas and that is what I actually remember - probably more.
In more positive news, I went to Elli's preschool today for a Mother's Day celebration. It was soo sweet. There were refreshments, the kids sang, and they gave us sweet gifts. I love that preschool and I love Elli's teachers. She has grown and learned so much there.

Happy First Birthday
Here is Jackson's official 12 month shot. We have his well check next week...I postponed it because of the tubes. I just couldn't bear for him to have all those shots and tubes in the same week. I'll post his stats after his appointment.
At one year Jackson is really coming into his own personality. He loves his bunny Thumper and won't sleep without him. He is walking everywhere now and prefers that form of transportation. He loves his Daddy! He says "Da Da" but won't say "mama." I've heard him say it but he won't say it like he does DaDa. I try not to care too much! He uses sign language for "more" and "all done." He LOVES goldfish cookies (the sweet kind!) He loves his sister Elli and wants her attention all the time. His favorite thing on TV is Clifford but he is starting to see Elli's old Elmo stuff and get interested in that so we will see...
