Our First Official Guests

We were so excited to host our first official DC guests and the best part? It was Elli's bestest buddy - her cousin Charlotte!  We left this as a surprise for the girls and they didn't know who the surprise was until they saw each other = priceless.

In 48 hours we squeezed in a trip to the White House, picnic downtown DC, and an awesome trip to the zoo.  Shew!

We can't wait to have them back - there is much more to see and do!

Waiting for our surprise guest!!

I'd say she was a bit excited?!?

See Jacob's instructions on how to get to the zoo? Follow the parkway? Seriously?!! He obviously doesn't understand my LACK of sense of direction.

Jackson decided to be a seal.

A wet paint sign actually means wet paint....

Baby lion cubs!!!!

Yep - it was a long day!

Someone wants a snack!

Thanks so much Aunt Melissa and Charlotte for making the trip to see us. It really meant a lot!

The Big 3-0

Jacob's parents came to visit for his big 30th birthday and we had some fun "adventures" as Elli would say.  Aunt Rachel took so many fun pictures I couldn't decide which ones to include so expect a LOT of pictures.
Please note we were dressed to go to the splash pad but it wasn't open so we went exploring downtown instead - hence our attire.

Gotta love something free!

Ahoy there!

Maybe illegal but it was sooo hot!  Elli isn't too sure!

Almost 7 years ago I had my bridal portrait made in this exact same spot. Now I'm back, with two kids and work out clothes.  Yep - times they are a changin'!

Elli was having some wardrobe malfunctions

Must take time to read the signs...

Our Fun Visitors

Grandma and Grandpa Waller came to visit this weekend.  Elli was super excited.  Check out all the fun she had...another birthday celebration.  Thanks for making the trip!!
Breakfast with Grandma Waller....so much fun!

Elli loves her shovel...which she calls a "shogel."

Thanks Aunt Rachel for the great Elmo toy!

Happy Birthday Elli!!  A turtle sandbox!!!!

Putting it all together is 1/2 the fun.

Not sure when she figured this out...

More presents!!
