Breakfast With Santa

We had the pleasure of going to Breakfast with Santa this past weekend with some great friends! Elli really enjoyed all of the festivities but was most excited about chatting it up with Santa!

Dear Santa

Today's activity was to write a letter to Santa and Elli got a jumbo pen to help her do it.  Hmm...what to say what to say.


I wrote what she told me to write.  The letter says,




Dear Santa, 
How are you?  I'm good (I made her put that cause she started right in with what she wanted and that seemed rude.)
I want clothes for my bunny.  I want to be able to turn my radio on.  I don't need everything (literally her words!)  I love my family.  I'm a big sister.  Maybe you can bring Jackson a teddy bear (we encouraged her to talk about her family).  I love Christmas.

Not bad for her first letter.  Not bad at all.

Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

We were inspired by some of our New Jersey friends who are already decorated and ready for Christmas. Last night we went out and at least picked out a tree. Once home we were able to put the lights on and then it was time for bed. We will finish decorating tonight. When Elli woke up this morning and saw the lights she said, "wow!" She is also learning some seasonal vocabulary. Check it out. I'll post some pictures of the tree hunting later!

Not to worry - we will work on discussing the true meaning of the season; I'm just trying to avoid having Elli scream and cry every time a Santa crosses her path =)
