Book Club Hits the Road

For our Tuesday morning book club today we hit the road to try out a nature trail.  We used a scavenger hunt and the kids had to bring buckets to find objects along the 1 mile (yes that means Elli walked two miles!) path.  She was a trooper and the kids loved it!  Jackson even did great bumping along in his stroller.  We read a book about a bear finding a backpack full of underwear in the woods and then one of our very smart moms hid a backpack on our trail for the kids to find.  They were so excited when they opened it up and found underwear too =)  So fun!

So glad warm weather is here.  It was so nice to be able to go today with Jackson and Elli.  I think back to last summer when poor Elli was cooped up here with me and the infant.  So glad to be out and about this summer!!!
