Peace Out Facebook
I've always wanted to try unplugging from Facebook. I decided that this year during Lent I would try giving it up and replacing it with productive activity. I have many reasons for thinking that Facebook might not be the best thing for me. I spend too much time on it, just browsing, when there are TONS of others things I could be and need to be doing. It really didn't have too many positives for me. At church on Wednesday night the speaker said, "We don't need to be addicted to the diet of our culture" in reference to Daniel not partaking of the King's food. I started thinking how do I know what the "diet of our culture" is but through Facebook? If I unplug from that, maybe I can start to feed myself with something more wholesome, healthy, and uplifting So, hold me accountable blog world. And if you need to get up with me, try the old fashioned email way!

I'm SO excited for you! I've been contemplating getting rid of Facebook all together. Grr. I hate being so attached. And I do spend too much wasted time on it too! I mean, is it really necessary?
ReplyDeleteBut, sometime next week give me a call and we'll talk about what else we need to do for Elli's party. Bryan's sister and her husband are in this weekend. Looking forward to talking with you soon!
And let me know how it goes with the hiatus! :)
