Elli and I are now working on a Fall theme. We will carry this for a few weeks and cover leaves falling, pumpkins, Halloween, apples and more. Here we are working on patterns. We just do a few minutes of work whenever we have a free minutes - it's not often and it's not scheduled but it's something!

The Little Man
The little man loves a good time. I came to pick Jackson up from child care at the YMCA today and this is what I found. He just loves to be the class clown! This did get me a little excited for Halloween though =)

Fire Station Open House
We love when the Fire Station opens their doors and invites us in!
Sorry this is sideways but I couldn't get it to turn around. Elli's first push up!

Me and the Booski
First off, we call Jackson the Booski a lot. Not sure why. But there you go.
So Jackson and I are trying to do some Mommy and Me type things while Elli is preschool. Some mornings we go to the gym then run errands but some mornings we just hang out and here and get into trouble. Today, since I am still quite under the weather, we stayed here. It was gorgeous outside so I tried to do a rice sensory bucket with him. It went pretty good. He liked it but he mostly liked throwing it. I have a good friend with two boys ages 4 and 2. She told me something that I always keep in the back of my mind. Boys don't play with things like you expect them to. So I shouldn't have been surprised the didn't sit casually and mix and pour. Nope, he poured it into his hand and chucked it across the yard. Oh well...we still did it right?

Preschool!
And...we're back. It is time for the 3 year old class. Love it! Elli likes her class and new friends (and old friends) so far. We are working on getting into a groove and I've enjoyed spending some one on one time with Jackson. More pictures to come but my camera battery is out. Grandma Waller - thank you for the cute first day outfit (I'll post a pic where you can see it later!)
And just for comparison purposes...here is last year!

The Last Hoo-Rah
Well summer is officially over and preschool starts tomorrow. Woot woot! I'm excited to get back into a routine and schedule honestly. For our last vacation this summer, we traveled to Richmond for a wedding. We were fortunate enough to stay at a family's house to cut costs. And...Grandma Waller and Aunt Rachel met us there to help us keep the kids. We had a lot of fun hanging out with uncles and aunts we don't usually get to see and then heading out on a date night while the kids had a blast with Grandma. A great weekend to be sure!
So glad we got to hang out with Aunt Rachel and Grandma Waller!
Children's Museum of Richmond is AWESOME!
Get it? The old painting?
